The purpose of this role is to define and drive implementation of business data stewardship at Petcare segment and its divisions.
What are we looking for?
Global Data Stewardship Sr. Lead is part of Petcare Segment level Data Governance Office and works with all Petcare divisions as well as segment Data & Analytics teams to define and implement data stewardship at Mars Petcare.
He/She has good understanding and experience in Data Governance and Data Management framework(s) and practices, has strong business acumen and plays a crucial part in the Global Data Governance function. The role acts as a global point of contact in Petcare Segment, Divisional Stewardship network to drive deployment and enforcement of Data Governance policies and practices.
The role leads definition and deployment of Petcare data stewardship function, defines clear roles and responsibilities of data (asset) owner and data steward, drives establishment of data asset ownership, data quality mindset across all divisions and business functions in Petcare. It also drives connectivity of Segment-wide data stewardship network, ensures sharing Data Governance policies and practices, upskilling of data asset owners and data stewards.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Develop and lead Petcare data stewardship program and coordinate/ track progress of divisional deployment across all divisions of Petcare
- Define and document (playbook) stewardship role and key responsibilities as well as expectations from this role at different levels.
- Define and document Data (asset) Owner role and key responsibilities and relation to data stewards
- Ensure all training materials are developed and in place for the upskilling of Data Owners and Data Stewards and these materials are regularly updated as necessary
- Establish the Petcare segment-wide stewardship network , define communication channels, manage the agenda and lead the connections and information sharing between segment D&A teams, divisional stewardship teams and liaise with Mars Corporate Master Data Management organization as necessary to ensure Petcare needs are well served in collaboration with Mars Corporate Master Data Management.
- Support the Data Governance Director in detecting key gaps, opportunities improving Data Governance and Data Management practices at Mars Petcare and drive/ support solving for them
