Senior Accountant - CDI
Role responsibilities:
Assist the Accounting team leader of the Accounting Section of the Finance Department- Assist for all operational matters within the Accounting Section;
- Assist the monthly closing of the accounts for the bank, the Irish branch and the management company;
- Assist the monthly Profit & Loss reports, budgeting and forecasting;
- Oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable as well as general ledger postings;
- Validate the daily controls of the End of Day listing including the control of the P & L accounts and Forex positions;
- Participate in the preparation of various internal reports (monthly budget follow-up, board pack, ….);
- Assist the maintenance of Bank accounts in the Banking System (i.e. opening, amending or closing);
- Participate to the organization of the year end closing of accounts;
- Assist the Head of Finance during the statutory audit of the Bank, by providing external auditors with the necessary supporting documents;
- Help in the preparation the annual accounts according to IFRS and local GAAP;
- Handle the monthly/quarterly and annual VAT declaration through eTVA system;
- Manage hedging and foreign currencies;
- Assist in maintenance the accounts in the Banking System;
- Ensure the follow-up and improvement of the internal working procedures.
- Assist the Head of Finance in appropriate matters, advising any corporate accounting issues in appropriate manner;
- Assistance to the General Management, advising any corporate accounting issues in appropriate manner;
- Ensure motivation and education of staff to provide needed knowledge to improve efficiency and quality;
- Ensure a mutual communication with the local financial authorities;
- Assist other departments in any corporate matters.
Your profile:
At least 5 years’ experience in an accounting department of a Bank;- Hold a master degree;
- Knowledge of tax and VAT regulations;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- High professional consciousness;
- Good analytical and organizational skills;
- Good communicational skill, ability to collaborate with upper management;
- Good knowledge of English (all other language is an asset);
- Good computer software skills, including Excel;
- Discretion efficiency & initiative.
- Experience in Regulatory Reporting (CSSF,BCL) would be an asset;
- Previous experience as an Auditor would be an asset.
