Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic partnering primarily to the VPs of Tech Domains in Digital Technology and their leadership team

  • Give strategic advice and set directions for the respective people agenda that goes beyond the Digital Tech area, and links with the overall transition towards stronger ownership across the LEGO Group value chain

  • Facilitate change management processes and enable the organization for the delivery of the future strategy (capability assessment and building processes), support leadership team in organizational development

  • Act as trusted sparring partner for people leaders to drive performance and team efficiency

  • Advise and co-develop the leadership team as an effective team with the BU leader

  • Lead strong and impactful deployment of core HR processes in collaboration with global Centers of Excellence – ensure the HR model is ‘up2speed’ with the requirements of a Digital Tech leading workforce

  • Accountable for recruitment prioritization and organizational / workforce governance in the assigned business units (org design principles i.e. spans and layers, FTR baseline etc).

  • Leverage CoE’s as business requirements emerge that can be supported through our Operational teams (e.g. global reward, global mobility, shared service center)

Partnering & Operations is part of our People, Operation & Development business area (PO&D) and include Business Partnering as well as local Operations, Employee Relations, benefits, policies and execution. The partnering organization is responsible for developing and deploying the people & culture agenda in line with strategic direction of the LEGO Group. The operations organization serves as a backbone to enable the partners and the business in providing relevant solutions on people processes respecting geographical and site nuances. This role is integrated in Partnering & Operations supporting Digital Technology – which is one of 6 Executive (C-level) Leadership Areas.


Do you have what it takes?


The ideal candidate brings a relevant educational background combined with 7-10 years HR experience in a global, matrixed organization leading the HR agenda for innovative Tech engineering capabilities. At the same time, you bring strong business understanding and preferably experience within digital product work and tools (e.g. OKRs) and are used to engage with stakeholders at all level of the organization. In addition, we expect that you have experience in:

  • Working with data to inform, make proposals and influence decisions, in particular with compensation data, statutory reports

  • Agile ways of working and the ability to bridge the Traditional and ‘New world’

  • Managing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Balancing local needs vs. global directions and influence accordingly

  • Leading change management and working with capability assessment & building

As a person you have an open minded, you are solution and result oriented, structured, and bring a strong collaborative mindset, where you build and drive good relations to many different units and people at all levels in the organization. You thrive with ambiguity and show excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
