What you need to qualify
Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
Essential attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- Employee must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to operate and become forklift certified.
- Valid Oregon Driver's license is required.
- Must have basic computer/software skills.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.

As a Warehouse Supply Specialist, you will:
The Supply Specialist 2 is responsible for managing the flow of materials and supplies, providing services to the ODHS Office of Facilities Management and its customers. Responsibility includes handling inventory, receipts, storage, security, shipment, and recordkeeping for various office furniture, tools, and equipment.
Records keeping and inventory are a daily function of this position. The Supply Specialist performs warehousing functions maintenance-related duties for furniture, equipment, tools, and property; they are responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory for each type of item through an electronic inventory management system. Provides accessibility to products; and maintains multiple warehouses in safe and orderly conditions.
- Fulfills order from facility coordinators for office and systems furniture product requests for DHS and OHA offices statewide. Verify items requested are available in electronic inventory. Pulls specified count of product and components, palletizes product, and/or loads carts for vehicle transport. Prioritizes and completes order requests by project and timeline. Provides assistance and expertise about product and installation offers alternative solutions for product deficiencies when needed.
- Receives returning product; receives and inspects items to determine the condition of items and quantity received. Sort, palletize and organize furniture to return to inventory. Updates electronic inventory.
- Repair systems furniture components as needed. Using various hand and power tools disassembles components and uses replacement parts from the manufacturer.
- Dispose of obsolete and excess items by inspecting property to determine the item's condition for use, coordinate surplus disposition, and update the electronic inventory system.
Working conditions
- Employee may have to perform important projects under tight timelines.
- Employee may occasionally travel to field offices across the state. Occasional after-hours/overnight travel may be required.
