An opportunity exists for a Retirement Fund Clerk. The position requires the successful candidate to form an important part of the diversely talented, highly experienced team and work at the forefront of high-profile transactions, delivering high quality advice to our clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Be a South African citizen
- BCom Accounting Degree completed
- High stress threshold, effective interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties
- Effective communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Duties and Responsibilities
Audit Support:
- Assist the audit team in conducting audits of retirement fund operations.
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Gather and analyse financial data, records, reports, and statements for audit purposes.
Data Management:
- Maintain and update financial databases with relevant audit findings.
- Help integrate best practices into the audit programs to improve efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion and secure storage of audit files.
Compliance and Controls:
- Follow internal procedures to ensure effective internal audit controls.
- Assist in recommending and implementing controls for improved management of retirement funds.
- Identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks and report them to senior team members.
Team Support:
- Collaborate with the audit team to ensure timely completion of audit engagements.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other team members as needed.
- Continuously develop your knowledge and skills through formal internal training and on-the-job learning.
