Minimum Requirements

  • Be a South African citizen
  • BCom Accounting Degree completed
  • High stress threshold, effective interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties
  • Effective communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Duties and Responsibilities

Audit Support:

  • Assist the audit team in conducting audits of retirement fund operations.
  • Ensure compliance with auditing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Gather and analyse financial data, records, reports, and statements for audit purposes.

Data Management:

  • Maintain and update financial databases with relevant audit findings.
  • Help integrate best practices into the audit programs to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion and secure storage of audit files.

Compliance and Controls:

  • Follow internal procedures to ensure effective internal audit controls.
  • Assist in recommending and implementing controls for improved management of retirement funds.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks and report them to senior team members.

Team Support:

  • Collaborate with the audit team to ensure timely completion of audit engagements.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to other team members as needed.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge and skills through formal internal training and on-the-job learning.
