The Company

The Role

As the Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for the processing of the weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 120 people including maintaining employee information, reconciling, reporting and processing statutory returns etc. This is a stand-alone role where, with the support of the HR Manager and Accountant, you'll be the go-to person for all payroll queries and matters.

Responsibilities
  • End to end payroll duties including the weekly/monthly pay runs, reconciliations, queries and reporting
  • Reconciliation of Single Touch Payroll Output Files
  • Authorisation of electronic payments
  • Preparation of monthly payroll general ledger and upload report
  • Approval and checking of timesheets
  • Uploading new employee information
  • Termination payments and out of cycle payments
  • Distribution of Payroll Advice
  • Preparation of reports for the Finance/Payroll Manager as required
  • Maintaining accurate annual, long-service and personal leave records
  • Monitoring excessive leave accruals
  • Assisting with the preparation of Superannuation contributions
  • Processing relevant statutory returns
  • Assist with Payroll and HR related project deliverables
  • Use of Hero Pay, AroFlo (timesheets) and Employment Hero (HR) systems
Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone with strong Payroll experience and a solid understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements and various Payroll systems such as Hero Pay. You'll need a personable, helpful approach, strong customer service and communication skills and a reliable, accountable nature.
