DESCRIPTION:

Teaching in a self-contained, general education, elementary classroom. Potential school assignment: Clemens Primary School (K-1); Philomath Elementary School (2nd-5th); or Blodgett Elementary School (K-4th).


QUALIFICATIONS:

Oregon Certification as determined by Oregon Teacher Standards & Practices Commission (TSPC). Must be Highly Qualified by Federal Standards to teach in an elementary, general education classroom.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and present a program of study that meets the individual needs of elementary students.
  • Provide a classroom climate conducive to learning — stressing student engagement, respect, equity, safety, responsibility, academic success, and social success.
  • Plan for learning, implement instruction, and assess student performance in alignment with the Oregon Content and Oregon Achievement Standards.
  • Adhere to state, district, and school policies.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate with parents, staff, students, and community on a regular basis.
  • Display a positive professional attitude while effectively relating with staff, students, parents, and community members.
  • Work on school and district curriculum and school site-specific committees.
  • Carry out other assignments as designated by the school administration.

CONTRACT:

1.0 FTE, 190 day annual contract (in response to approved District calendar). Salary and benefits per the Licensed negotiated agreement.
