Title: Teacher 7th grade (Self contained) - 2023-2024 School Year
Placement (location): Shady Cove Schools
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 191 days to begin August 2023
Salary Range: No less than $42,602 - $83,145 plus master's stipend of $2,130 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Salary listed indicates current 2020-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change
Position Closing Date: Open until filled, screening to begin as soon as possible

This position requires an Oregon teaching license with an elementary endorsement or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. It is located at our smaller K-8 school in Shady Cove. We are looking for a 7th grade teacher. We have the unique ability to have Middle School classes that are semi-self contained that help to create strong relationships with our students. The successful canidate will teach the core subjects and an elective. Students will disperse to elective classes and Physical Education with another teacher. General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to teaching elementary. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
