Chewy is recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Reno, NV fulfillment center. This position coordinates and is responsible for the Fulfillment Center Human Resources department. What you'll do:
- Lead the team responsible for performance management, employee engagement, and talent development
- Assist management staff in the resolution of issues and concerns, which may include disciplinary action
- Assist with training as needed and develop a team responsible for a best-in-class onboarding experience
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards organization to build and maintain compensation programs, evaluate job levels, and ensure compensation programs remain competitive
- Administer worker's compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid, and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three
- Handle benefits administration
- Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures, and policies as needed
- Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field of study, or the equivalent experience in a similar warehouse or fulfillment environment
- 5 years in an HR partnership role, ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center
- 2 years of experience leading an HR Team
- Consistent track record of strategic partnerships which enhance the HR experience
- Desire to work in a lively work environment with a demonstrable track record of success
- Excellent written, verbal, and public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work optimally with a variety of personnel.
- Strong employee relations background
- The position may require travel
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $71,500.00-$118,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
