SAPP Management AG, a Klagenfurt-based company, is an international partner of the pulp and paper industry for mill development, boiler and turbine evaluation as well as quality assurance. We speak the language of technicians as well as of financial managers, we offer technical and commercial consultancy to facilitate our customers in making their decisions regarding mill development strategies, investments and for process optimization.Tasks
- Evaluate the power plant equipment and processes in terms of capacity, operational needs, control strategies, mechanical integrity, energy and mass transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
- Evaluate power plant concepts and prepare concepts by utilizing industry best practices and standards.
- Conduct mill-wide energy balances using available tools like Excel, simulation software (e.g., WinGEMS, IPSEpro, CadSIM Plus, etc.)
- Develop process specifications for new equipment and processes, such as power boilers, pressure vessels, recovery boilers, turbine generators, condensers, heat exchangers, etc.
- Preparation of technical RFI / RFQ.
- Provide consulting services as per project/customer requirements.
- Evaluate equipment/processes onsite, hold technical discussions with customers.
- Evaluate mill-wide energy efficiency improvement.
- Evaluate technical vendor proposals and assist with investment cost estimations. Assure quality of design documents and process deliverables.
- Participate in the technical due diligence and environmental impact assessments in given field of expertise.
- Know-how of system design and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is welcomed.
- Write project reports and presentations for assigned projects.

- Completed minimum master’s degree in engineering or equivalent level studies in energy engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar fields.
- Minimum two years of professional experience is desirable, but not a precondition.
- Very good knowledge of the English language.
- Confident use of the MS Office package.
- Basic knowledge of process simulation software is desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Sense of responsibility, flexibility and own initiative.
- High level of communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness for professional development.

You can expect a demanding, diversified job with high responsibility and independence in a dynamic team. A gross annual salary on a full-time basis, with the minimum desired qualification, is € 45,000.00.
