Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all safety, health and environmental issues on various project sites within the company
- Organize safety & health training and promotional activities, identifying hazards and advice control measures
- Supervise and lead a team of Workplace Safety Health personnel and interface with operational staff on safety matters
- Manage a variety of environmental, health and safety (EHS) activities to ensure that the organization complies with external EHS regulations and standards as well as internal environmental policies and EHS management systems
- Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks or areas for improvement, conducting safety & health audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment practices and working conditions
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of HSE professionals to ensure that the organization’s HSE strategies is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards
- Initiate investigation into all accidents or incidents or dangerous occurrences and recommend corrective or preventive measures to prevent recurrences
- Ensure that the environmental issues such as drainage, noise monitoring, pollution control and pest control are implemented in accordance to the statutory requirements and advise site staff accordingly
- Advocate and inculcate a strong safety culture within the company
Requirements:
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower
- Registered Environmental Control Officer with NEA will have an added advantage
- At least 8 years relevant experience in similar capacity and prior relevant work experience doing LTA projects
- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
