Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VPS you’ll find Release Management that is part of the Applications, Controls & Electrical (ACE) product development organization encapsulating the IT/OT/data capabilities and future digital technology roadmaps for Vestas' products.
You will be part of a global team consisting of Release Managers, Test Managers, Integrators and DevOps Engineers that collaborate closely to mature our capabilities within Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment. The team consists of 26 people and are located in both Aarhus, Denmark and Porto, Portugal. The Program Manager will have an integral part in continuing maturing our journey towards Test & Release Management standards for Vestas’ software products.
You will be the focal point of all demand coming in towards the Release Management organization. You will work closely with line managers and test/release managers to secure transparency in demand and allocation towards Release Management. You will follow up on progress and ensure timely reactions to changes. As part of the role, you will also be handling specific Release Management projects yourself and you will also participate in large organizational-wide programs.
The Release Management area has a large stakeholder interface working across the value-chain, all the way from software development teams to end users/customers of the delivered software products. You will be a key part of defining and improving how we work with these stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate programs projects
- Coordinate resources and prioritizations in alignment with line management and stakeholders
- Handle project challenges with employees and stakeholders
- Continuously improve our project management processes
- Participate and contribute in the ACE Release Management Leadership Team that guides the Vestas Release Management Strategy
- Contribute to cross-module initiatives to improve software engineering practices in Vestas from a Release Management perspective
Qualifications
- A relevant education. At least 3 years of experience working with Project and/or Program Management in a relevant context
- Relevant project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMI etc.) or experience working with Agile Software Development
- Fundamental understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Testing and Continuous Delivery
- You possess fluent English communication skills both oral and in written
