EPConsult Energies (EP) is a UK-Danish independent engineering and technical consultancy firm working in renewables, oil and gas. We have offices in London and Copenhagen. In support of our existing clients worldwide and to grow the company further, we are looking to employ an experienced, ambitious Risk Consultant at a Senior Level.
Essential background needed:
● Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a similar role with an engineering contractor, consulting firm or in an operator organisation
● MSc level qualification in Engineering or related technical discipline.
● Fluent in written and spoken English and Danish essential.
● Experience with risk assessment and risk management for large infrastructure projects.
● Solid understanding of risk assessment techniques
● Experience with quantitative schedule and cost risk assessment.
Specific experience in some of the following areas:
● Development Risk Assessment and Project Risk Assessment
● Operational Risk Assessment
● Management of Risk Register and performing risk mitigation and risk allocation assessment
● Decision risk assessment and risk dependency analysis
● Chairing of Risk Management Workshops
● Cost Benefit Analysis for risk management
● Cost risk assessment using simulation
● Schedule risk assessment performed by quantitative analysis
● HSE and Risk Assessment for offshore and onshore renewables and oil and gas facilities
● Contingency and emergency response planning and documentation
● Use of industry software for the analysis of safety, risk and reliability
● Additional skills or interest in renewable studies, energy efficiency, process or environment would be a benefit.

The successful candidate will be:
● Working with renewables mainly, and oil and gas projects in the offshore sector.
● Performing various Risk Assessment Studies including safety and risk assessment studies for renewables oil and gas projects.
● Leading the preparation of proposals and responses to EOIs and ITTs for engineering contractors and operators, assisted by junior engineers.
● Leading teams and managing studies, including other discipline engineers and specialist contractors.
● Mentoring junior engineers as part of the company’s agile approach.
● Dealing with clients directly, building long-term client relationships - demonstrating technical leadership and an integrated approach to risk in design, engineering, implementation and operation.
● Based in Denmark, it is not required to be based in Copenhagen as the position will be mainly working from home.
