Indirect Procurement Manager [Australia]


 

We are now recruiting an Indirect Procurement Manager to join the Finance team.
The Indirect Procurement Manager is envisioned to support Chanel’s business units beyond cost saving, by creating value at every step in the end-to-end source-to-pay process, aiming to protect the brand reputation, mitigate risks, drive process efficiency and cost effectiveness by partnering with each business unit.
YOUR PURPOSE
As a new position in the Chanel ANZ business, the Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the strategic transformational roadmap Indirect procurement to elevate the function at market level. You will align with divisions on appropriate negotiation and contracting strategies to support their business needs, ensure Chanel receives the optimal balance of cost, quality, and risks, drive sustainable procurement to support Chanel’s sustainability initiatives and ESG goals and mitigate risk through sourcing outcomes to protect the CHANEL brand.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Lead, develop and implement various commodities sourcing strategies to deliver sustainable value in quality, delivery and cost for assigned categories of spend
  • lead price and contract negotiations to achieve the best value from supplier relationships and brand protection
  • Analyze and develop various KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Incorporate sustainable and responsible procurement mentality and criteria into the sourcing and negotiation strategy
  • Build supplier relationship and performance metrics into the Supplier Panel including conducting supplier on-boarding validation according to the company guidelines and audit policies, establish supplier segmentation and evaluation mechanisms to improve supplier relationship, performance, quality and risk and identify potential contractual terms and conditions improvement opportunities for re-negotiation.
  • build trust and credibility across all the Chanel business community by demonstrating required expertise and supports in all procurement-related activities
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • No less than five years of experience in procurement management with focus on category management and/or supplier management; Luxury retail, retail or FMCG would be highly advantageous
  • Solid experiences in strategic sourcing/ procurement and commercial & contract management tools and techniques
  • Experience with implementation of transformational projects into a business or the implementation of the Indirect Procurement function into a business would be highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skill and attention to detail with
  • An intermediate to advanced level of Excel skill along with experience with e-Procurement tools such as Coupa
  • Excellent stakeholder management and able to establish collaborative relationship with all levels in the company as well as suppliers
  • Strong negotiating skill with proactive and positive attitude.
